Good morning in the news this morning. Upper Marion Township Police have arrested a Philadelphia man who was allegedly hiding in a department store ceiling

with stolen money from the cash registers on August 25th, about 4.30 in the morning.

According to police, 32-year-old Nicholas Redmond was found hiding in the Macy ceiling on the

first floor of the King of Prussia Mall with over $7,000 in cash.

Redmond told police that he was behind two other thefts during the month of August

totaling over $12,000 in cash.

Police said someone employed with Macy's as a regional security representative called to let them know of the intruder.

Canines from Lower Marion Police Department, Plymouth Township, and Norristown Police Department all

helped to search the building. After about five hours, patrol officers from Upper Marion found Redmond

hiding in the ceiling of the first floor. Five hours. Five hours, right? It's a big area to search.

Yeah, Redmond was arrested and brought to the Upper Marion Township Police Department. He was

arraigned and remains in Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $10,000 cash bail. So he had robbed the same place a couple times before? No, different robberies. Okay. Was he an ex-employee of Macy's? Did you hear that? I did not hear that. I don't know if that was the case. And if only there were security footage of him falling through the ceiling. You played that sound effect. No, they didn't indicate that he fell. No, they climbed up there. I love it when people fall through the ceiling. It's the best. It's the best. It's the best. Failed robberies that involved falling through the ceiling are in a class by themselves. I was at the Macy's in the Springfield Mall last night, and I'm telling you, like, I think there might have been in the entire store. There's three floors of Macy's. There might have been three employees there. Really? Yes. It was crazy. It's the honor system. Just leave your money by the register. It kind of was. Yeah, yeah. It really kind of was. I do find that with Walmart sometimes. I'm like, there are people that work here, right?

I'm looking for something. I know. I walked around. It can be dicey looking for someone to help you. There was one person, I think, on the third floor, I was walking around. There was a lady there standing in line. I mean, there was nobody at the register, but she had on the back of her shirt, it said staff. Yeah. So I start asking her a question and then like mid-question. I realized that she's not an employee here. I was like, son of a gun. Yeah, don't wear your staff shirt to a place where you don't work. Yes. You know?

That's a great idea.

Rapper Meek Mill is doing court today to learn if Philadelphia prosecutors will drop a 2007 case that's kept him under court supervision for more than a decade.

The 32-year-old has spent more than two or about two years in prison over drug and gun

conviction overturned this year because of the credibility concerns about the arresting officer.

He's now working with Jay-Z and others on a campaign to promote criminal justice reform.
