In the news this morning, some South Jersey residents are waking up to a pungent odor that has been in the air for hours.

Officials say a tanker truck at a truck stop is leaking a chemical that's causing a rotten egg smell in and around Palsboro, Gloffster County.

Wow.

A shelter in place was issued by Gloucester County Emergency Management at 1130 last night. That was lifted two hours later.

After receiving numerous 911 calls

of an odor around 3 p.m. Wednesday, emergency crews discovered a truck at the T-A truck service area

on the 100 block of Berkeley Road in Palsboro off of 295 expelling fumes from its rear tanker.

The rotten egg smell. That's a really bad fart. That's like the, that's the warm fart smell.

Yeah.

When you get a slightly burning, gassy fart, that's what I expect to smell, right?

When you were in Hawaii and you did the volcano thingy, did it smell?

I didn't do the volcano thing.

Oh, I thought you did.

No, but Yellowstone, there are, yes, there are sections of that park where absolutely you get that sulfur smell. I couldn't. It's kind of nice sometimes. We did it on our honeymoon in St. Lucia and I was like, oh, man, this is going to be horrible. Like when we got up there, and it was, and I hated every single second of it. You did what? A volcano tour and there's a sulfur smell and it just smells like farts. It smells like really like, you know, rotten eggs and there's nothing you can do about it. It's all. Unless, state bombs usually are. There are. Yeah. Yeah. Bonds are made of predominantly sulfur. If you get lucky, it smells like one of your own farts, which we all know is actually...

How often it's not a good.

I know it's rare.
