In the news this morning, one person died and five others were injured after a bus and route to Philadelphia overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike Tuesday night, according to officials.

The fatal accident took place just before 7 p.m. on the southbound lanes of the term pike at the entrance ramp to the Thomas Edison Service area in Woodbridge Township Middlesex County.

New Jersey State Police Sergeant Lawrence Peel said the double-decker bus collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck then overturned.

There were no injuries reported to the occupants of the pickup. We are confirming right now one fatality and five series injuries as a result of the collision. The crash remains under investigation, Peel said. According to Megabus, there were 19 passengers and a driver on the bus that were heading from New York City to Philadelphia. Megabus said one person was killed and five people were seriously injured, including the driver. They were all taken to nearby hospitals. At this time, state police have not released the name of the person who was killed. Is that like a bolt bus kind of thing? Is that one of those situations? Yeah, it's like one of those. You're right.

So you pay like 10, 15 bucks and you get the trip down.

Do those, I've never bet on one. Do they have seatbelts? I don't know. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, the nice, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure. and they have, Steve, because of interstate travel or something along those lines, like that's required.

Weirdly or oddly enough, like a school bus that goes over state lines doesn't have to have those, you know, a regular school bus. But the school buses have them now, right? Not all of them. No? There's still some that don't. Yeah. Disturbing details continue to emerge surrounding the death of a toddler in New Jersey who was missing for three years. The child's mother and her mother's boyfriend made court appearances in the case on

Tuesday. 29-year-old Matthew Childs III is charged with first-degree murder, desecration of human remains,

and two counts of child endangerment. Monique Durham is charged with two counts of child endangerment

as well as theft for

allegedly continuing to collect child support even though her two-year-old daughter was dead.

According to documents, Child Protective Services was contacted twice on November 6, 2021 and February

22nd, 2022 with abuse allegations regarding the deceased girls surviving twin sister. From then through June

2022, Durham was said to be uncooperative and failed to produce the child during multiple

CPS home visits. That on June 1st, CPS contacted the Center for Missing and Exploited Children
