Good morning in the news this morning. Police in Upper Darby say a newborn baby was found abandoned on Tuesday.

According to police, an hours old newborn baby girl was left abandoned on the 100 block of Englewood Road. We need help locating the parents to get them the assistance that they need. Mom, if you're reading this, call us. Police said in a tweet. The baby was found wrapped in a little white blanket on a porch. The man who found her said that she was wrapped in

this towel that he unraveled and she still had her umbilical cord attached. Whoa. He called police

who came and got the baby and took her to the hospital. Police say she is doing fine. Right now

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chipwood says that they don't know who left the baby or where

she was born. If somebody wants to drop off a child to a hospital or a police station, as long as it's not hurt and less than 28 days, you can do so without any criminality, said Chitwood. Do you think that some people don't know that? I think some people don't know that. Okay. It's called Safe Haven? What is it? Yeah. Safe Haven. Right. And it is available. The whole purpose of it was to curtail things like this. Yeah, because that child could have died in the heat. I think people don't know. And also, if they do, there's still a little bit of, they're still nervous. Yeah, a little nervous to just drop a baby off, you know, because, I mean, I guess they say no questions asked. I know, but yeah, they might, it might be the shame of facing another human being while doing it or fear that somebody might call the police or, but still. But you're at the police. Yeah, I know. You're talking about a human life here i mean you know i don't know well i mean

from what i understand the story that when they first started doing it that the edict is is they're

very staunch about making sure people don't feel judged yeah they want to do this for the benefit of the

child so you can lose that it's hard i've not been in the situation obviously but anything but anything that benefits the child, as you said, press, it was 90 plus degrees yesterday. The kid could have died. The baby could died. I know that they used to. I don't know if they're still there, but some of the hospitals actually had a bassinet set up. So you would literally just take the baby and put it in there. Okay. And you could walk away. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Upper Darby Police Department.

Shortly before 8 o'clock Tuesday, first responders rushed to the Sahara Sam's Oasis

outdoor and indoor water park in West Berlin for a medical emergency involving a child.

Medics transported the child to virtue of Warhees in serious condition.

There's no word on how old the victim is.

Lifeguards were called to assist the boy after he reportedly went into cardiac arrest in the

pool area. The boy was given CPR by lifeguards. The pool was evacuated after the medical

emergency. We are completing a thorough review of the incident and working with local authorities

said a spokesperson with Sahara Sam's. But that's all the information that they've given.
