In the news this morning, a St. Joseph's University student was the victim of a violent crime early Tuesday morning when police say three to four suspect robbed him at gunpoint in his off-campus home.

Investigators say the home invasion happened around 440 on the 5,700 block of Drexel Road in the

city's windfield section. Police say the suspects broke in through the 19-year-old victim's

basement door, woke him at gunpoint,

tied him up, and robbed him. Neighbors say the student had just moved in. Police say the

suspects fled with the student's phone, wallet, and laptop. This is the second crime targeting

university students in the last 30 days. On June 21st, a student was shot during an attempted

carjacking on Upland Way and Drexel Road just a few blocks from the home invasion.

Neighbors say they tell students to always be on alert.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

For the third year in a row, repair delays will keep the pool at the Hunting Park Recreation Center closed.

As the city of Philadelphia enters a new and oppressive heatwave, families in Hunting Park

are frustrated with the fact that they have one less place to cool off.

On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation confirmed the pool was deemed structurally unsound.

A spokesperson for the department says making the repairs to open the Hunting Park Recreation Center pool

is a priority project for Parks and Rec and has been for a number of months this year the city says out of 63 outdoor pools 50 of them are set to open
