Kathy is out. I'll handle the news duties.

We'll begin with this terrible story.

At least 11 people, including children, died after a boat carrying

tourist on a Missouri lake capsized and sank last night. Five people remain missing. Seven others

were hospitalized after a ride the duck's boat sank on Table Rock Lake in Branson, Missouri.

A spokeswoman said four adults and three children arrived at the hospital

shortly after the incident. Two adults were in critical condition, and the others were treated for

minor injuries. The stormy weather was believed to be the cause of the capsizing. Another duckboat on

the lake was able to safely make it back to shore. The National Weather Agency had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Branson area Thursday evening.

Winds reached speeds of over 60 miles per hour.

There's video footage of it just before it happened, and you can see how intense the waves were.

It was really nasty conditions.

So the questions that come to mind are, did they launch knowing that the forecast included

thunderstorms of this potential power?

Did they get caught out while they were there?

And I'm sure that's stuff that's going to be asked in short order.

And also were people wearing their life preserves a vest.

And there's an investigation, obviously, there's going to follow off this after this.

And off-duty sheriff's deputy working security for the boat company helped rescue people after the accident.
