Good morning in the news this morning.

A 40-year-old man was shot and killed after answering a knock at the door at his

South Philadelphia home, police say. The shooting happened around 1130 last night on the 2000 block

of South Norwood Street. Police say the victim was shot once in the chest at point-blank range

collapsed just inside of his home. He was then taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center,

where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police say they received information that leads them to believe that there may have been an argument or fight earlier in the day involving the victim. They believe that he could be the

motivation for the homicide. Police described the shooter as a tall, thin man who was wearing a white

shirt and dark colored pants. Witnesses tell police the victim was home alone when he answered the door.

Police are looking at surveillance cameras in the area to see if they captured any footage

to help with the investigation.

17 people were arrested outside in immigration and customs enforcement facility in Berks County Sunday.

Hundreds came out to voice their displeasure

with the facility's existence and the Trump administration's zero tolerance policy on immigration.

A handful of people were arrested when they were when they staged a sit-in in the middle of

Burke's Road. According to ICE officials, Berks County Residential Center was developed to provide a

safe, secure, and humane environment for families as they go through the immigration process. Families sometimes spend

hundreds of days inside the federally funded prison before receiving a court date. Pennsylvania
