Good morning in the news this morning.

Police said a man is hospitalized after he was shot following an altercation at a Darby Township mini-mart Sunday night. It happened at 11 p.m. outside of the princess market on the 1100 block of

Hook Road and Sharon Hill. Police said there was a physical altercation between two men and their 20s

in the parking lot outside of the market before the shooting. According to investigators, one of the men

pulled out a

gun and fired one round. Police said that both men were licensed to carry and both were equipped

with firearms at the time of the incident. The shooting victim then flagged down a police officer

who rendered aid and transported the man to the hospital where he's listed in stable

condition. Authority said after the incident, the shooter called police to turn himself in. He fled

the scene but called 911 from his house to report that he was the actual shooter the police the police chief said that this is the first time in 15 years that he's seen a shooter turn himself in it's unclear whether the men knew each other or whether there were some sort of retaliation police are speaking with both of the men as the investigation continues.

And they were both licensed to carry? They were both licensed to carry, yeah. Police responded

to the East Falls campus of Jefferson University after a computer glitch alerted students

of an active shooter on campus Sunday morning. The alert was sent out about 1030 in the morning,

and it said that there was an active shooter on the campus located at 4201 Henry Avenue. It told students to follow emergency procedures, Run, Hide, Act. Police responded and quickly cleared the scene saying no threat was ever viable. You notice they leave out scream. Yeah, you're giving you all the things. What is Run Hide Act? That's the message that was sent out. Yeah, I mean, last poor yore.

Yeah, I mean, you go into. You go into Shakespeare. He's good. I'm not going to. Wow, yeah, I think it's a good performance. Avoid shooting that guy. Yeah, no. But it's the protocol must be wonderful to wake up to that. Active shooter. Right? Yeah. 10th, kids were probably all out on Saturday night and then they wake up to this.

The university issued the following statement regarding the incident due to a resolvable system error

during a routine morning test of the Jeff Stats system at 1018 a.m. on July 7th, 2019. A message

was issued stating that there was an active shooter on the East Falls campus.
