Good morning. In the news this morning, two police officers suffered non-fatal gunshot wounds

when gunfire erupted at a large 4th of July fireworks display in Philadelphia. A massive police presence

responded to the 2,500 block of Spring Garden Street at about 10 p.m. where a massive crowd gathered

to watch a concert followed by a fireworks show. Authorities say a Philadelphia police officer

signed a highway patrol, suffered a graze wound to his head.

Another officer, a member of the Montgomery County Bomb Squad, was shot in the right shoulder.

Both officers were reportedly on duty at the base of the Art Museum steps when shots were fired.

The shooting happened somewhere behind where they had set up a ferris wheel on the Ben Franklin Parkway.

Both officers were taken to Jefferson University Hospital

in stable condition. They were treated and released from the hospital. Did I hear correctly that

the one who was grazed in the head found a, there was a bullet in the hat?

Yeah, I think John McNesby posted a picture of it. I didn't see the picture, but yeah,

I heard that there was some, a picture like that, Steve.

John Foster, a 44-year-old Montgomery County deputy is reportedly recovering at home after suffering a graze wound to his shoulder.

He is a 17-year veteran of the sheriff's office and a member of the bomb squad.

A Philadelphia police officer identified as Sergio Diggs was stuck, struck in the head and treated for a graze wound.

The 36-year-old is a 13-year veteran of the department and assigned to the highway patrol unit.

The gunfire caused a massive crowd to scatter in the middle of the fireworks display, which added more confusion to an already chaotic situation.

Mayor Jim Kenney candidly spoke about the frustration.
