Good morning. In the news this morning, a body founded a trash bag in Philadelphia may be a missing Haverford Township woman. The discovery was made on the 5,700 block of Musgrave

Street about 6 o'clock Tuesday night. Philadelphia Police Department Chief Inspector

Scott Small says 14th District Police were notified by Haverford Township Police that the remains

of a human body were found in a vacant lot under a train trestle in the 5,700 block of Musgrave Street.

The woman, roughly 25 years old was found dead in a trash bag in the city's East German town section.

According to Small, Haverford Township Police were investigating the disappearance of a woman over the past month and were led to the body in Philadelphia after receiving a tip.

Police believe the woman may have been killed in Upper Darby and then the body was later dumped in Philadelphia.

There was no immediate word on the woman's identity or the exact cause of death, but anyone with information or has any sort of tip,

they're asking that you call police on their tip line at 215-68 tips.

With coronavirus cases surging in parts of the country in Philadelphia ready to resume more

activity this week, the city's health commissioner, Thomas Farley, called it mixed news.

With cases surging in many parts of the United States, the impact in Philadelphia so far is

unclear, but there are plenty of reasons to be concerned.

Farley said on Tuesday, the daily COVID-19 numbers were higher than the average because the city had matched its database with that of the State Health Department.

There were 219 new cases and 37 new deaths. There have been 25,335 total coronavirus cases in Philadelphia and 1,563 total number of deaths.

Farley mentioned the risk is rising and the pandemic is moving in the wrong direction in much of

the United States.

Case counts, he says, are rising in at least 26 states across the country after reopening

such as Florida and Texas.
