A body has been recovered after a swimmer went missing in the Delaware River on Sunday.

The U.S. Coast Guard had been searching for 22-year-old Brian Tenicella, who went missing near the river in Delanco Township, New Jersey.

The man was reportedly swimming with friends near a boat ramp in the vicinity of Delaware Avenue when they became separated.

The man's friends called 911 after noticing that he did not

resurface after being pulled underwater by the tide. Authorities responded just before 2 p.m. 10

agencies, including five boats and two helicopters aided in the search that lasted over five hours.

His body was pulled from the river sometime before 9 o'clock near the spot where he went missing.

Medical examiners are working to determine the exact cause of death. We're talking about the deceptive nature of what you see on the surface as opposed to what you experience when you get in. Right. And it's terrifying. And especially in the river too. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's awful. Business owners say that they are taking state-mandated safety precautions to make sure that they can continue to stay open.

They're ensuring that all staff and client pairs maintain at least six feet distance between each other

unless separated by a physical barrier.

Governor Murphy signed an executive order last week allowing higher education and trade and training

schools to resume on July 1st with enhanced health and safety protocols.

He also announced that shopping malls can reopen later this month.
