In the news this morning, a man was killed and five people, including teenagers, were injured during a shooting at a graduation party in southwest Philadelphia Sunday night.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. at Finnegan Playground near the intersection of South 70th Street and Vuce Avenue.

According to police, 60 people were attending the graduation party in the park when at least one person approached the crowd and opened fire.

The motive is under investigation.

There was nothing that suggested that there was a fight that preceded this,

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross said.

The victims included three boys, ages 15, 16, and 17, a 16-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man.

There was a 24-year-old man who had died.

The teenagers were all shot in the legs or ankles and were listed in stable condition. The 21-year-old was shot in the elbow and is in stable condition, the 24-year-old man was shot in the back, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. Weren't there shootings like this at the end of the last season as well? Yeah. It's just becoming a thing? Some of the graduation parties in the city, I don't know.

Well, it sounds, I mean, if there wasn't a fight, it sounds like somebody came with an intention to shoot. So maybe they had a beef against, I don't know, who knows? Police are continuing to search for the suspect. residents in CIL City are calling for a full-time fire department after flames erupted at a

Carmen Conti said that he was returning from an errand around 1230 Sunday when he saw the fire at his

family's marina in the 300 block of 43rd place while sitting in traffic.

He said he was only out for about five minutes, but in that time, the fire started

in a shed and spread to his family's commercial fishing boat. Neighboring homes were evacuated and the

smoke could be seen for miles. Fire crews from the city and neighboring towns battled the flames.
