In the news this morning, without action from the state legislature in Harrisburg,

the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association says 12,000 restaurants will have to stop selling mixed drinks to go and close their outdoor seating.

We've been asking about this. Yeah.

Yeah, Kathy started to cry. You couldn't see it.

So the ability to allow mixed drinks to go and permission to sell alcohol in outdoor seating areas created during the COVID-19 lockdowns is what helped businesses survive. With the

expiration of Governor Tom Wolfe's emergency declaration, it's now up to the legislature to extend

what the industry sees as crucial lifelines for many bars and restaurants. Two bills designed to do

that passed overwhelmingly in the Pennsylvania House but have stalled in the Senate. Cocktails to

go and outdoor seating will go

away within the next day or two, said Melissa Bova, Vice President of Government Affairs of the Pennsylvania

Restaurant and Lodging Association. So the two bills being considered in Harrisburg are making the

mixed drinks to go permanent in Pennsylvania and then allowing outdoor seating to continue until

December 31st, 2022. So we talked about giving at least a little bit of a buffer to help make up for a loss. Obviously, you can, you know, wipe out the loss of the whole year past, but it would help a little bit. Yeah, I think it's just like, I think it's not a matter of like, no, you can that i think it's just expiring so now they have to

get it past so that they can do it do you think they can mail them to you the cops
