Good morning. In the news this morning, a suspect wanted in the shooting of former Red Sox star David Ortiz is also

being sought in a shooting right here in Pennsylvania. An alleged gunman and five accomplices

have been detained in the shooting of Ortiz, Dominican officials said on Wednesday.

Authorities said that the suspect set out to kill the retired baseball player to collect an $8,000

bounty placed on his head.

Police say that they are still searching for Louis Al-Affredo Revis Clace, who also goes by the nickname The Surgeon.

This man is also wanted by authorities in Reading, Pennsylvania right here.

What the hell?

Yeah, according to authorities, Revis Clace was involved in a shooting on April 22nd, 2018. The victim who was shot in the

back said that Revis threatened to have him killed a few days before the shooting occurred.

Police said the handgun used in the attempted hit on David Ortiz was found buried in the house near

Mayo about 100 miles southwest of Santa Domingo, where one of the suspects was arrested.

Ortiz is recovering after being shot in the back.

His wife said in a statement that the former Red Sox slugger was able to sit up and take

some steps as he recuperates in the intensive care unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

His condition is guarded and he will remain in ICU for the coming days, but he is making

good progress towards recovery.

Tiffany Ortiz said in the statement. Not that anybody. Why is what's up with the mics here? Go ahead. Not that anybody ever deserves to get shot, but an assassination attempt on David Ortiz just boggles my mind. He's an incredibly nice person, really generous, and has done so much for the Dominican Republic. Any idea if they know that there was an $8,000 bounty?
