Good morning in the news this morning as of 12.01 a.m. Friday, Philadelphia ended its last two COVID-19

restrictions, the indoor mask mandate, and the 11 p.m. last call for restaurants. According to

officials, people who received their final dose of the COVID vaccine at least two weeks ago are

considered fully vaccinated and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health will no longer require

that masks be worn indoors or outdoors in most settings. Now, people who are not vaccinated

or not fully vaccinated are still strongly recommended to wear masks indoors and outdoors when

around others. But don't leave your mask at home altogether. Private companies such as stores

can still ask everyone to wear a mask indoors. The same goes for

people who are returning to a workplace. Companies may still require masks at work. In addition,

due to ongoing risk, Philadelphia will still require that masks be worn indoors in select settings,

included but not limited to hospitals and other health care institutions, congregate facilities such

as prisons, shelters,

and adult day programs, public transportation, and that includes all of it, planes, trains,

buses, taxis, and ride-share vehicles, indoor schools, camps, and early childhood education

facilities. Last month, health officials in Pennsylvania announced that the rest of the state

will completely lift its mask order on June 28th.

Multiple homes went up in flames in Eagleville on Thursday afternoon after authorities say a code enforcement
