And now, Preston and Steve's news updates with Kathy Romano.

0:12.9

Today is Monday and it's June 11th.

0:14.9

Good morning, Kathy.

0:15.7

Good morning.

In the news this morning, heavy downpours caused flooding in several places across the Delaware

0:20.9

Valley early this morning. Like we mentioned, the Schuylkill Expressway eastbound closed between

0:25.3

the Blue Root and Belmont and correction. It started shortly after midnight. I said about an hour

0:29.7

ago, it was shortly after midnight that traffic was stopped on the eastbound lane. So it's been a few

0:33.6

hours that the flooding is causing issues and causing this closure. The Schuylkill Expressway

0:38.7

between King of Prussia and Gulf Mills is jammed. Several vehicles were stopped in water. Traffic

0:44.2

behind them were not moving. Now, a car was stopped on a flooded area of Gulf Road as well.

0:48.7

Some drivers, obviously you have these drivers. You know, they try to plow through the flood waters.

0:53.2

Others wisely stop and turn around and try to find alternate roots.

0:56.8

If you go through that flooded water and you get stuck, that's it.

0:59.3

I mean, they always, there's always a problem with the drainage and all of that on the expressway.

They retooled a lot of it a couple of years ago and tried to get a handle on it, but it just seems like they never can get a problem issued. A lot of times when maintenance crews are out there, they're cleaning the drain, so they're trying. But it's so much to stay on top of. I mean, a couple of feet of water, they were saying. Two feet of water. That is a little too much. Yeah. Jesus. Look at that. Wow. Yeah, I know. We're looking at video. Yeah. It looks like a river. It looks like a canal. And cars are stuck in it. Yep. So a shelter actually has been open for residents affected by flooding in Willingboro, New Jersey. They got hit hard as well. It's located at the Kennedy Center. The Rancocas Creek flooded, and several people have been rescued from vehicles there. No injuries have been reported, fortunately. Several drivers also became stuck in high waters on Route 38 and Cherry Hill. That was closed for a period of time in the early morning, but reopened it about 4.30 this morning. So be careful of flooding. Lincoln Drive is closed down. There's flooding there as well. So it's all over the area this morning. The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a police involved shooting in Deptford Township. Officials said Deptford Township Police Officers were dispatched to the Marshals in the 1800 block of Clemens Bridge Road near the Deppford Mall at about

340 Saturday for a report of shoplifting in progress. The prosecutor's office said prior to their

2:23.3

arrival, police were alerted that one of the alleged suspects was wanted in connection to a prior

2:27.5

homicide. When they arrived at the scene, police said they encountered three people who left the store

with a substantial amount of unpaid merchandise.

2:39.1

According to reports, one of the suspects identified as Raul Gadsden of Philadelphia was fighting with a loss prevention agent from the store. Investigator said when officers arrived, Gadsden ran
