Good morning in the news this morning. A Delaware County school bus driver is accused of restraining a 10-year-old

in a seat with duct tape, the district attorney's office said Tuesday. Clifton Heights resident 54-year-old

Juliet Pratt is being charged for the incident that happened back on March 8th. The investigation began after police were called to Hillcrest Elementary School in Drexel Hill.

Surveillance video showed Pratt wrapping duct tape around the child's ankles and chest, even though the child was sitting in a district-supplied safety harness, the Diaz's office said. She was driving a bus that had a 10-year-old boy who, my understanding, has Down syndrome. He's in a special harness on the bus, and she decided for whatever reason, we don't know,

she needed to add additional illegal criminal restraints, district attorney Jack Stolzheimer said.

Investigators say the child was not seen trying to get out of the seat or otherwise move around the bus.

After arriving at the school, the DA's office said Pratt used a seatbelt cutter to remove the child from,

to remove the tape from the child.

Using duct tape on a child who was already fully restrained in the vehicle's harness was not only inexcusable, it was also dangerous.

Had an incident occurred, the child would have been unable to free himself from the tape, said the district attorney.

According to the criminal complaint, Pratt allegedly stated that she used duct tape with with this student once before this incident. She is charged with unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child and assault. And also, these bus drivers know there's cameras on their bus. Like, what the hell? I can't even, there's no good reason that comes to mind. No, this is terrible. Yeah, there's, there's no element of that story that makes any sense. Yeah. The Upper Derby School District released a statement saying, we are aware of the incident involving a school bus driver and a student. We are cooperating with local authorities in the investigation of this incident. There is a person, this is a personal matter. The individual is no longer driving buses at this time. To that point, how cameraed up are the buses? Well, I mean, I know a lot of districts put them on all of their buses. Like multiple cameras? Or like... Oh, you know, I'm not sure, Steve. I don't know how many views there are. But, you know, a lot of them you see from, like, above the bus. Yeah, like above the bus driver and then... Yeah, like You can see a little bit of the bus driver and then the rest of the back. Right. There was a story a couple weeks ago when the bus driver had a medical attack and the kid had to take over and you could see the bus driver slumped over. So maybe it depends on the street where they put them. I'm not sure. I guess that's the money shot. To use porn parlance. Right in the grade school. Right. A bus thing. A Philadelphia man is behind
