In the news this morning, New Jersey will lift many COVID-19 capacity limits at

retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and other businesses, and will remove a hard cap on outdoor

gatherings beginning May 19th. Governor Phil Murphy announced Monday. This announcement was made

in coordination with the governors of New York and Connecticut. Effective Wednesday, May 19th,

restaurants will no longer have a capacity limit, but will be able to operate at whatever capacity allows them to continue to ensure a minimum of a six-foot distance between groups.
