And today is the third day of May, a Wednesday. Good morning, Kathy.

Good morning in the news this morning, two stolen cars were involved in

separate crashes in Westchester early Tuesday morning, according to police. The crashes happened

just after midnight on Gay Street. Police said the incident began when officers ran the

license plate of a Subaru Outback. They were following and discovered it was stolen. The driver

reportedly took off and led police on a chase for about six blocks before crashing near the

intersection of East Gay and North Matlack streets. Police said the stolen car struck a light along

with other objects before stopping. At the same time, an Alpha Romeo that was following the

Subaru took off and was pursued by a second officer. The car ended up crashing about a minute

later near West Gay Street and

North Darlington Street. Police said the stolen car hit numerous other vehicles before coming to a stop.

A total of seven juveniles from Delaware were in the stolen cars taken to nearby hospitals.

Police said the Subaru was stolen from Wilmington, the other car from Malvern. Police also

recovered a stolen gun. So the word is, is that you're commonly now finding 14 and 15-year-olds stealing cars. That was like the... I got one that's even better in the bizarre. Oh, do you? Yeah, yeah. There was, I don't know if I had mentioned it on there, but a car in my neighborhood had stolen and we had, you know, the mall on our cameras.

Right.

They look, I mean, they look to be late teens, maybe early 20s, if even that.

Yeah.

Well, they're even, they're even younger, which is wild.

Eight of the suspects have been arrested and one suspect remains at large.
