As we say before Thursday, May 3rd, Kathy, what's happening?

A 26-year-old man believed to have stabbed and shot to death. A young Churchville couple earlier this week was found dead in Philadelphia.

At a news conference Wednesday evening in Northampton Township,

First Assistant District Attorney Greg Shore disclosed the death of the suspect,

Daniel Kenneth Mooney, from an apparent drug overdose.

Shore said he is confident that it was Mooney who killed 28-year-old Tyler Christopher Roy

and his wife, 27-year-old Christina Salenza Roy, in their home the night before he died. This story just keeps getting stranger and stranger. When I heard this, I was like, why? Because I was paying attention to this because I thought, who went in and killed this young couple? Right. They seemed to... Out of the blue, it seemed to be for no discernible reason. Of course, obviously, these things roll out and you start to get facts, but now it's in the loony level. Did he know the couple? Well, at first they thought maybe he did, but now they're saying no. They're saying that he didn't know the couple, but he did live in the area. Huh. All right. So maybe he just was in there trying to steal some drug money. It's possible. Gets caught.

Yeah.

I was like, oh, man, panics. So after an initial investigation, police believe Mooney killed the victims and he did act alone. They're saying the bodies of the Roy's were found Tuesday morning on the upper floors of their split-level home on Kitty Knight Drive in Churchville. Investigators believe they were murdered sometime overnight

in that the killer stole Roy's 2016 Ford Edge SUV.

The vehicle was found along with Mooney's cell phone early Wednesday morning in northeast Philadelphia,

but by that time, Mooney was already dead.

Investigators didn't know this yet.

Mooney had been taken to Temple University's Hospital,

a Episcopal campus in Philadelphia after suffering an apparent drug overdose at 9.30, Tuesday evening near Ruth and Clearfield streets in Kensington, efforts to revive him failed. Having arrived

at the hospital without identification, Moody's identity remained unknown until Wednesday afternoon.

Shore publicly identified Mooney as the person of interest in the slangs during a news conference yesterday.

Not long after the news conference, Shore said that Philadelphia police called to report a man fitting Mooney's description and said that he had died at Episcopal Hospital.

It's almost a close, commits the crime and then then the death sentence is levied on him already.
