Good morning. In the news this morning, an Uber driver was shot while on the job in Philadelphia's Cobb Creeps section. Police say the shooting happened on Cobb's Creek Parkway at Delancey Street about 10 a.m. last night. Police say the Uber driver, a male in his 50s was shot in what appears to be an attempted carjacking.

Officials say neighbors reported hearing a gunshot and saw the Uber rolling into a parked vehicle and then into a fence

of a house. According to police, the driver picked up two riders, a male and a female from an

unknown location. The female got out of the vehicle at one location, but the male remained in the

Uber. As they get to this location, Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker said, we're not quite

sure what happened inside the car, but we can tell you by looking at the car at this point, there was that the gun, there is a gun shot through the driver's seat.

Walker says the bullet struck the driver under his armpit where it went through his chest. He was rushed by medics to Lankanah Hospital in serious condition. I'm sorry, in critical condition.

Police are continuing to search for surveillance video and ask anyone with information to please call them. I wonder with these shootings, Kathy, on the Uber drivers and the lift drivers, if this has resulted in a reduction in the amount of people who are actively doing this. Using it? You can go log on and log off at your discretion, right? I don't know. Yeah, I mean, there's just, there's shootings everywhere.

Like, the city is just not safe right now.

The bouncer who was wanted on a third-degree murder charge for punching a man outside

of a center city, Philadelphia bar earlier this month, leading to his death is now in custody.

24-year-old Kenneth Fry surrendered to police yesterday afternoon.

Fry of the 1800 block of Susquehanna Avenue was being sought in the death of 41-year-old Eric Pope.

Police say Pope was escorted out of taboo bar and lounge on April 16th for being intoxicated

and then punched by Frye investigators, say Pope fell to the ground and died from his injuries,
