Good morning. In the news this morning, a security guard is recovering at the hospital after police say he was injured during a shootout in a Philadelphia shopping center. It happened at 9 p.m. Wednesday at 58th in Baltimore Avenue in the city's Cobb Creek section. Police officers say that when they were on patrol, they heard gunshots coming from the area. Arriving officers and medics found a 55-year-old male shot three times, once in the abdomen, once in the leg, and once in the back. Police say the victim was in full security guard uniform and armed when he was approached by three males inside of a store at the shopping center. One male was brandishing a gun, police said. When he saw these males with a gun, he pulled out his gun and fired at them, said Philadelphia police inspector, D.F. Pace, a shootout ensued then. The guard was taken by medics to an area hospital and placed in stable condition. As police were investigating the scene, they got word that a 17-year-old male who was also injured in a shooting arrived at the hospital by private vehicle, he was shot once in the arm. At least 40 spent shell casings

were found at the scene and two cars in the parking lot were hit by bullets. Police believe the

security guard may have been off duty when he was approached by the suspects. The motive for the

shooting may be robbery. Please have made no arrest at this time. Anyone with information is asked

to contact police and you can do that by calling 215-86 tips. People from the burbs to the city to even South Jersey have heard and even felt

loud ground-shaking booms. The Frankfurt boat launch on Toconi Street in Philadelphia is a

popular spot among boaters and fishermen. What may seem like a quiet place to fish along the Delaware is becoming a major problem for the city.

Residents on both sides of the Delaware River have been complaining of the loud, thumping music, and the roar of the ATVs.

The state representative for the area also heard the noises from his home and says that the nuisance has become a quality of life issue. Kathy, that's where I go to go hand grenade fishing. And I actually have never noticed this. Right? Isn't it like fairly peaceful and quiet when you go fishing? I heard some mystery boom last night, man. Did you ever hear one every now and then you just go, okay. The hell's going on here. Then you wait wait for some siren to go off or something. It just happened actually the other night because I live off of a conduit street where there's traffic and occasionally, you know, 18 wheelers and stuff will come down periodically. But that stops after a certain time. And it's all white noise to me at a certain point. But then there was one the other night that I'm like, okay, I got to go see what that was. Yeah. Yeah. I'll hear it like, like, it was like a low, like explosion boom. And I'm like, all right. I did, you know, I live a little, a little further out. Let me go check the sinkhole. You know, yeah. Yeah. I don't know what the hell is going on. But at some point, your brain is just like, I guess everything's fine.

You know what I will do, honestly? I kid you not, I will take a glance at my phone and see what time it is. Yeah, yeah. In case I see a news story or if the police are checking out. I was going to, well, yes, officer, I heard something at 8.42 p.m.

So I just, I'm just trying to be aware of what's going on.

This summer, those thundering sounds will hopefully come to an end as Philadelphia plans to close the popular boat launch park to all vehicular traffic, including boats on the weekends during the busiest time of the year.

People will still be able to walk at the park, but no cars or boats will be allowed to park at the launch. The Frankfurt boat launch is one of only three public boat launches in the city, and signs will be going up there this weekend. So I guess you can still put your boat in the water there? You just can't like walk there and stay there? Is that the issue? I saw. The story that I saw seemed to

suggest that was the issue. People were just going, even Sons' boats and hanging out there.

And hanging out there. So there'll be signs posted there to alert people. A bear spotted

in a Bucks County neighborhood left residence on edge. The bear was caught on camera in Buckingham

Township at about 2.30 in the morning in a resident's driveway. Doing a TikTok dance, right?
