In the news this morning, a driver died after a tire fell off of a pickup truck on 95, went airborne and smashed into the vehicle in South Philadelphia.

The incident happened at 1230 in the morning Friday on the highway between front and broad streets.

Police say the tire struck the median and hit the windshield of the car that was traveling southbound, trapping the driver inside.

Medics were forced to cut the roof off of the vehicle to free the victim.

The man who was in his 60s was transported to Jefferson University Hospital where he later died.

It's unclear if the driver of the pickup who kept on driving realized what had happened.

So it didn't come off of the truck.

It fell out, I guess, of the bed. Right. Yeah. Because they said that they don't know if the pickup truck, that, you know, the guy that was driving it, if he even knew that it had happened. I've actually seen a tire go off of an 18-wheel. It was on the Long Island Expressway. And, and it rocketed up, Kay's like, like,

and thank God the street behind, the road behind for good distance was clear because it would have killed something.

Yeah, I had, and actually this same stretch of road, it was right by the sports complex.

Guy was driving the pickup truck, and the ladder fell off of the pickup truck.

I was maybe 100 yards behind it.

You know, I was able to swerve out of it.

It scares the crap out of me there.

And then most recently, I was on the blue route, and like a board fell off of this guy's car.
