Good morning. In the news this morning, Philadelphia police are investigating a double shooting that injured

a mother and a daughter at a pizza restaurant in the city's Mayfair neighborhood.

The suspect is in custody thanks to the heroics of employees, customers, and the man who

is the husband and father of the victims.

It happened just before 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mayfair Pizza located in the 7,400 block of

Frankfurt Avenue.

Police say gunfire erupted after a robbery attempt inside the pizza shop.

A 65-year-old woman was shot in the stomach and her 34-year-old daughter was shot in the shoulder.

That's when other people inside the shop jumped into action.

The husband and father of the two women who were shot is also the owner of the restaurant.

He struggled with a 19-year-old perpetrator and an employee and two customers jumped in to help as well.

The victims who work at the business were taken to Jefferson Toursdale Hospital and placed in stable condition. The suspect has not been identified. Anyone with information is asked to contact

police by calling 215-6-86 tips.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner released disturbing details Wednesday against two city police officers and a school resource officer involved sexual misconduct cases.

The district attorney's office laid out the three separate cases Wednesday afternoon. Some charges involved minors being sexually assaulted.

Others alleged that those who came to police for help were victimized.

One victim was allegedly the mother of a murder victim.

She says she was assaulted by the detectives assigned to her son's case.
