And here we are on Tuesday, March 8th. Good morning, Kathy.

Good morning. In the news this morning, three women were arrested in charge after a horrific

case of child abuse was discovered in Camden County, New Jersey.

Authorities say a 13-year-old girl was forced to wear a shock collar meant for a dog around her neck.

Neighbor Karen Villick said it was on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 1st, when she heard her doorbell ring repeatedly.

When she opened the door, the girl handed her the dog collar

and said, they shock me. They shock me. She put up her neck and the neighbor said she saw two marks

from the dog collar. The collar was vibrating in the girl's hand as she stood at the woman's front

door. Villick said she brought the girl inside of the home, which is on the 100 block of Harvard

Avenue in Stratford. She tried to comfort the 13-year-old girl while her husband called 911.

Police say the girl was taken to Jefferson Hospital for treatment,

and the division of child protection and permanency removed her from the home.

The next day, authorities arrested Kelly, Rebecca, and Rachel Menning

and charged them with aggravated assault, child abuse, and neglect.

It's alleged that the three forced the girl to wear the shot collar and deprived her of

necessary amounts of food and clothing. While the three women denied the abuse, when interviewed

by detectives, police say another resident of the menning home told them that the dog collar

was forced on the girl as a punishment when she was bad.

Villick says that she suspected the home was an unpleasant environment, but never imagined this.

She said that she could hear in the winter, through the window, she could hear a lot of yelling and fighting.
