In the news this morning, Philadelphia officials announced that several restrictions put in place due to COVID-19 pandemic will be eased on Monday as infection rates continue to fall and vaccination rates climb. Among the announcements, some fans will be allowed to attend sporting events. However, Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said the relaxed restrictions are dependent on consistent universal mask use.

The city's health department says it is experiencing a delivery or it's expecting a delivery of

13,000 Johnson and Johnson doses this week and says it's feasible that people will be vaccinated

with it in coming days.

The Food and Drug Administration granted emergency use use authorization to Johnson and Johnson's one dose COVID-19 vaccine.

As early as Monday, 3.9 million Johnson and Johnson vaccines are expected to ship out to

states, pharmacies, and community clinics. The FDA said J&J's vaccine offers strong protection

against what matters most serious illness, hospitalization, and death.

One dose was 85% protective against the most severe COVID-19 illness.

I was with Dr. Michael for the weekend, and he said that this is great for him because this

doesn't require that elaborate refrigeration so that he could actually administer at his office,

right, one shot.

However, health officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that progress in declining case numbers is stalling and that we shouldn't be lifting restrictions just yet.

He says everyone still must continue to wear a mask.

Philadelphia police are looking for a 13-year-old boy who they say has not been seen since Friday evening.

Jalen Maxwell was reported missing from his home on the 1700 block of Anchor Street and Wissanoming at about 7 p.m. on Friday. Priscilla Maxwell, the boy's mother, says her son has a mild form of autism and cerebral palsy. She says he will respond to his name when called. Maxwell believes Jalen left his home after he got in trouble for misusing a school computer.

Police say a tip came in on Friday evening that he was spotted in the area of Aramingo and Ann Street in Port Richmond.
