Good morning. In the news this morning, two school districts in Gloucester County are closed today because of a threat that was sent to a staff member.

Officials say both Franklin Township School District and Delsey Regional School District are closed for the day.

The Franklin Township Police Department says they are investigating a threatening email that was sent to a staff member of the Franklin Township School District overnight.

Police say they're working to identify the sender.

A message on the Delcy Regional High School's Facebook page reads due to a threatening email

directed at the Franklin Township School District, which was received overnight and because

our proximity to those schools in an abundance of caution, the Delcy Regional School District

will be closed Thursday, March 1st.

Police are investigating the matter

and more information will be available as soon as they figure out exactly what's going on and who sent it.

Don't you believe that in this time of heightened sensitivity with high schools and schools in general,

that punishment for something like this is going to be even more severe. Why even... Number one, it's a stupid idea. Yeah. But number two, right now you should know better that it is... Nobody's playing around. Yeah, and quite possibly this person wasn't playing around who proposed. Yeah, you know, you're right. Which is why both schools are closed. You can't take a chance.

Yep, agreed.

Well, you know what, though, the trick is to remember as we move away from this, and hopefully

there's more schools come into line and there's more preventative measures that take

place, you know, that would be the norm to be this responsive to something like this

and take the, to err on the side of caution.

Yeah, sure.

Well, and of course I have another story involving something at a school, but an armed high school teacher in Georgia barricaded himself alone inside his classroom on Wednesday and fired a gunshot when the principal tried to force open the door, but no one was seriously injured.
