Investigators say small amounts of fentanyl and heroin were found during further testing of THC products seized from three Pennsylvania smoke shops following two non-fatal overdoses.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Seale on Friday called an emergency press conference to warn the public about strictly Delta brand of Delta 8 THC 6,000 milligram happy cubes sold at tobacco hut stores that may be

tainted with illicit drugs. Herb extract and pinewood coned, which were also sold at the stores

tested positive for fentanyl according to the district attorney's office. Authorities launched an

investigation into the tobacco hut. Two people who consume tainted THC gummies, overdosed on fentanyl, and recovered. Individuals should not consume any flavors of the strictly Delta brand of CBD gummies. If anyone has any of these gummies, do not eat them. The DA said at the press conference on Friday. The products were seized for testing during a search warrant executed last Thursday night. Do they have any date with the motorcyverend is here? It's not the... The shop is blaming the manufacturer. The manufacturer is blaming the shop. That's weird. Yeah. I mean, like, you know, no manufacturer would do that on purpose. Right, right. I mean, it's going to destroy your brand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So somewhere along the line, somebody tainted that stuff, you would think. So the owner of, now, it's like, it's small amounts. So don't take a lot. Like, well, at some testing levels, it was showing nothing. And then when they went and took a deeper dive is when they found the, you know, the traces of it. The owner of the Tobacco Hut said in a statement,

the store unknowingly the recipient of inventory

that contained illegal ingredients contrary to representations

from the product supplier.

When reached out for comment,

two of the manufacturers denied fentanyl being a part of their assembly process

and passed the blame onto the Montgomery County smoke shops.

No charges have been filed or discussed as the investigation continues.

A spokesman for Pennsylvania Senator John Federman says the Democrat is on the path to recovery

after checking himself into a hospital for clinical depression earlier this month,

and he is still expected to be away from the Senate for several weeks.

Federman is being treated at Walter Reed

National Military Medical Center, where he checked in on February 15th, as he was still struggling
