| 0:16.6 | Good morning in the news this morning. An Uber driver was critically injured during a carjacking and shooting in Philadelphia police. It happened at 1130 Thursday, 1130 in the evening on the 7,400 block of Toursdale Avenue in Mayfair. According to police, the 52-year-old Uber driver was inside of his vehicle making a phone call to his cousin when two mass suspect described as young males approached him. They told him to get out of the vehicle. Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker said as he's on the highway, they tell him don't move. He gets up and tries to run. As he's running southbound on Toursdale Avenue, two shots are fired, striking him in the leg. They then fled with the victims' 2021 Gray Toyota RAV 4. The Uber driver was taken to Frankfurt Toursdale Hospital in critical but stable condition. |
