| 0:13.4 | It is Tuesday, January 29th. |
| 0:16.4 | Good morning, Kathy. |
| 0:17.2 | Good morning in the news this morning. |
| 0:18.8 | A number of schools are closed today in anticipation of the snow. |
| 0:21.9 | The majority of the closures are in Lehigh, Berks, and Northampton counties with a few closures in Bucks and Montgomery counties. |
| 0:27.6 | A winter storm advisory is in effect across the southeastern Pennsylvania and Newcastle County, Delaware until midnight. |
| 0:33.3 | A winter storm warning is an effect in the Poconos. We will likely see a lot of rain or a mix of rain and snow today, which will eventually turn over to snow by early evening. The snow should stop by midnight, leaving about 1 to 2 inches on the ground. It's going to be snow all day in the Poconos. And at the end, they could see anywhere from 4 to 8 inches. So most of the snow up in the Poconos. Tomorrow we may see some snow squalls with much colder air. And then Thursday, there is a weather alert. And that's because of the bitter cold temperatures that Preston was mentioning. It's going to feel like it's below zero on Thursday. Boy. With the rain and snow today, the afternoon rush is expected to be a busy one. So make sure you have plans for your kids coming home from school because you may be late. And if it's anything like we've seen in the past, if the kids don't get out early and the school bus, the school buses may be late as well. Kathy, many parents are opting to pull their kids out of school completely and just homeschool them from now. Yeah. That's how significant the dusting will be. I couldn't believe that schools were closed. Now, I mean, most of them are up, you know, closer to the Poconos where they're going to get more. |
| 1:30.3 | But I was like, wait, school closures? What? The release of a cell phone video Monday has launched the police investigation into a violent road rage incident in northeast Philadelphia. The video shows an altercation between the driver of a maroon sedan and a man driving a white van last Thursday morning. The yelling could be heard throughout the busy intersection of Levec Street and the boulevard. Police say the offender jumped out of the car with a baseball bat and smashed the driver's side window out and knocked the mirror off of the victim's vehicle. The video is great. Yeah, yeah. It's great. This dude is just going for it. Nuts. |
| 2:01.1 | Police say the victim, the man driving the van, got into a fender bender with the suspect. |
| 2:04.9 | Within minutes, police say the suspect caused several thousands of dollars worth of damage to the company van while threatening the driver. |
| 2:11.2 | He then tried to flee the accident scene, but the two vehicles were stuck together. |
| 2:16.6 | Oh, that's awesome. |
| 2:17.3 | So as he tried to drive away, he ripped the guy's bumper off. Oh, man. Wow. Northeast detectives say they get at least one road rage incident a week on the boulevard. Just last week, there were three reporting. Of course they do. Including the most recent incident. That's crazy. Hell, I want to rage just thinking about the boulevard. |
| 2:35.0 | Seriously. |
| 2:36.6 | I hate that stretch of road. |
| 2:48.9 | Yeah, one a week surprises me. I thought there'd be way more. Yeah. I'm curious about the person who keeps a bat in their car, though. You're kind of. Seriously. I used to do that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. just in case. |
| 2:49.5 | Right, right. |
| 2:51.5 | That's why we're worried about you. Just in case the baseball breaks up. |
| 2:52.4 | I have golf clubs back there now. |
| 2:53.4 | Yes, but that's... Yeah, it was just in case. Right, right. That's why we worried about you. |
