In the news this morning, a 17-year-old student was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon outside of his Southwest Philadelphia High School. According to police, the shooting happened at about 255 p.m. on the 2300 block of South 66th Street near Bartram High School. Police said Christopher Braxton, who was listed as a 12th grader at the school, was shot in the chest. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center,

where he died a short time later. He left around dismissal time, and shortly thereafter,

not far from the school is where he was shot in the chest at Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. The school was placed on lockdown while investigators searched for a shooter.

No arrest have been made. Investigators are hopeful that cameras in the neighborhood and outside

215-6-86 tips. Philadelphia police are investigating a rash of armed robberies targeting fast food

restaurants. The first robbery happened on January 16th. Now police believe five robberies are connected.

All of them are done as a takeover. One or two of the robbers jump over the counter or find a way behind the counter and then

they order the employees to move quickly to where the money is kept, whether it's in a register

or in a safe. Police believe the robberies, all of the robberies that are connected.

One was on January 16th at a Popeye's of the 2,700 block of West Hunting Park Avenue.

January 19th at a Burger King in the 4,700 block of North Broad Street. January 21st at a McDonald's in the 3,100 block of West Allegheny Avenue.

January 24th at a McDonald's at 120 West Oregon. And then on January 25th at a Burger King in the in the 1500 block of South Columbus Boulevard. They're recommending the fast food places hire at least two employees from Zabunda. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's a good idea. Just as a protection level. I've seen them in action before. They're very good. African connection, right? Yeah, my African connection. Help out. Police are still not sure if a six case at a Burger King. Yeah, I'm not into it. Sorry. I still love the line of, you know what? That guy's hit this place five times. But now I don't think he's going to be coming back anymore. And that was Samuel L. Jackson. Yeah. It's got to suck, though. I mean, here you are. You're pulling, you know, minimum wage.

You're working the register and the video. You're looking at a crew of guys. Come in. Listen, it more than sucks. They're pulling guns on them. Yeah, Jesus. It's no joke. I know you guys are joking about a movie, but like these poor people, you know, at all of these fast food restaurants, trying to make a living and somebody comes in,

they're saying there's about four or five masked robbers that come at a time.

So four or five people coming at you with guns. That's horrible, yeah. Police believe they are operating a silver Nissan SUV with a dent on the hood and a black SUV. If you have information called 215-6-86 tips. A Bucks County teenager rescued two boys who fell into an icy lake in Bucks County.
