Good morning. In the news this morning, Penn Dock Cruise moved swiftly Sunday afternoon ahead of a storm storm that brought a wintery mix to the Delaware Valley. The tri-state area was hit with the winter storm that brought heavy snow to the west and a mix of snow, sleet, and rain to the east. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency Agency Agency Agency Agency, Executive, Executive Deputy Director Jeff Thomas said that they would be in close contact with the county emergency

management and state agency partners to stay aware of conditions and provide help when needed.

Among the largest concerns for officials were drivers on the roadways during the storm.

They urged Pennsylvanians and visitors to stay in and stay warm during the storm and only

travel if absolutely necessary.

PennDOT since lifted some of the temporary speed restrictions on major roadways in the PennDOT District 5 region, which includes Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties. Yeah, Kathy, this is like a, and I was saying to Preston, I can take storms like this all winter because it's basically self-shoveling. Yes. Yeah.

Bendat is urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel, but those who must head out will still see some reduced speeds to 45 miles per hour.

Commercial vehicles must stay in the right lane while the speed restriction is in place on these roads.

While Pendot recommends not traveling during winter storms, motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles

warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic

cameras. The storm is still bringing a few showers, coastal flooding, and up to 50-mile-per-hour winds. A wind advisory is posted until 1 a.m. Tuesday and a winter storm morning continues for the Poconos until noon today. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden packed carrots and apples into food boxes for the hungry and chatted with volunteers Sunday at a food bank as part of a day of service for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The couple traveled about a half an hour from their Wilmington Delaware residents to fill abundance.
