Democrat Raphael Warnock, one of Georgia's two Senate runoffs

Wednesday becoming the first black senator in state's history and putting the Senate majority

within the Democrats reach ABC News projects. A pastor who spent the past 15 years leading the Atlanta

church where Martin Luther King Jr. preached Wock, defeated Republican incumbent Kelly Leffler.

It was a stinging rebuke of ongoing President Donald Trump, who made one of his final trips

to the office to Georgia to rally his local base behind Loeffler and the Republican running for

the other seat, David Perdue. The focus now shifts to the second race between Purdue

and Democrat John Ossov.

The contest was too early to call as voters were still being counted. If Ossoff wins, Democrats will have complete control of Congress, strengthening President-elect Joe Biden's standings as he prepares to take office on January 20th.

A Southern New Jersey couple has been charged in the death of a 72-year-old pizza delivery man who was struck and killed more than a year ago.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said Tuesday.

Ronald Zikowski was killed on the evening of December 27th in 2019 as he crossed the Lakehurst Road in the Brownsville section of Pemberton Township.

On Tuesday, the Burlington County prosecutor announced charges against 35-year-old Tanya Brown and her husband,

44-year-old Victor Brown of Pemberton.

Prosecutors allege that Tanya Brown was driving a Nissan Pathfinder and her husband with her husband when she struck Zikowski and the couple then drove away without stopping and covered the vehicle with a tarp.
