In the news this morning, COVID-19 vaccination facilities are coming to Montgomery and Delaware counties.

The large sites will help administer the doses to as many people as possible. Delaware County has administered 4,500 vaccinations in the first round so far.

Although the priority right now is still health care workers, three mass vaccination sites are expected to open, including one in Yaden.

In Montgomery County, a mass vaccination site is expected to open at the county's community

college in Bluebell. The site is scheduled to open on Wednesday, depending on how much they receive.

Their goal is to administer 1,000 a day and up to 2,000 vaccines a day by the end of the month.

People will have to register at the Montgomery County's COVID-19 website.

But like in Delaware County, Montgomery County is also focusing on vaccinating frontline

health care workers first.

It's pretty wild.

My understanding is that they're going to attach the hypodermics to the blades of big-ass fans.

And shoot them into people and just like rapid fire.

Yeah.

Which I think will take care of a lot.

Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said Monday that 135,04 Pennsylvanians have been vaccinated to date.

She says it'll be several months before the wider population can expect to get the vaccine.

She foresees an appointment style system to avoid long lines when the expected rollout launches.
