Good morning in the news this morning. A police chase involving a U-Haul truck that ended in a crash in Philadelphia Sunday afternoon was connected with a fatal shooting investigation.

The shooting took place around noon on the 1,500 block of 68th Avenue in the city's West Oak Lane section. Police say a 26-year-old man was shot in the head. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Neighbors who were inside at the time of the shooting so they initially thought that the loud bangs were from the movie they were watching. One neighbor said she frequently saw the 26-year-old man walking in the neighborhood. Shortly after the shooting, police began pursuing a U-Haul following reports that it was involved in a shooting.

Police say the U-Haul driver crashed into a tree near the intersection of Wayne Avenue and Aspley Street in the city's Germantown section.

Police say two males were taken into custody.

No further information on the U-Haul truck's connection with the investigation has been released.

But anyone with information is being asked to call police at 215-6-86 tips.

A Wilmington Delaware man died while taking part in the escape the Cape Triathlon and open water race off Cape County, New Jersey.

According to Delmo Sports, the organizers of the event, lifeguards noticed the man was in distress near the finish, open water, classic

swimming portion of the event at 8.30 in the

morning on Sunday. The man was pulled

from the water to the beach in lower township

near David Douglas Senior Memorial Park

where EMS personnel administered CPR.

He was taken by

ambulance to Cape Regional Medical

Center where he was pronounced dead.

Casey participated in that very event over the weekend and did pretty well.
