Let's dive into everything baseball related from Monday, April 6th.

We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news and notes from around the league, kicking things off with the bad news as outfielder.

Juan Soto was placed on the 10-day IL with a calf strain.

Soto will be out for two to three weeks, but big blow to the Mets lineup, big blow to fantasy managers as well,

who drafted him in the first few picks of their drafts.

Hopefully, this is really quick,

and he hits the ground running when he comes back.

Third baseman Ronnie Maricio was recalled from the miners in a corresponding move,

but Bette should see the biggest increase in playing time for the Mets

with playing time in left field. Relief pitcher Jared Kainig was placed on the 15-day aisle

with an elbow sprain. Kainig has UCL damage and will miss at least two to three weeks,

depending on how his elbow recovers from the rest and rehab.

Aaron Ashby and Anhehul Serpa will be the top lefties in the Brewer's bullpen moving forward.

Starting pitcher Matthew Boyd was placed on the 15-day I.L. with a bicep strain.

This should be a minimum stay for Boyd.

He nearly avoided the IL stint, so we'll see him back in just a couple of weeks. But in the meantime, starting pitcher Javier Assad was recalled from the minors in a corresponding move, and we'll start today in Tampa Bay. Relief pitcher Dietrich Enz was placed on the 15-day I-L with a foot infection. He shouldn't miss more than the minimum time.

And Grant Wolfram will be the top left-handed option in the Baltimore pen.

But more importantly, starting pitcher Brandon Young was recalled from the minors.

And he started yesterday in Chicago and looked pretty solid with five scoreless innings.
