Let's dive into everything baseball related from Wednesday, April 29th.

We'll start it off as always with the transactions, injuries, news and notes from around the

league, kicking things off with the bad news. As relief pitcher, Anhelle Serpa was placed on the 15th day

IL with forearm tightness. The injury is serious and Serpa is not expected back any time soon.

Deal Hall will see more high leverage situations in the meantime as one of the top

left-handed options in the Brewers bullpen.

Relief pitcher Brian Fitzpatrick was selected from the miners in a corresponding move,

and he's a 26-year-old rookie with a 0-ERA and a 29% strikeout rate in 10 and a third

innings at AAA this year.

So, of course, the Brewers lose a reliever, and they just bring up another great one.

That's something they've been good at doing for

the past few years. Next, we have starting pitcher Casey Mize, who is placed on the 15th day IL

with an adductor strain. It's a grade one strain, so Mize should miss the minimum time. Drew

Anderson could rejoin or join the rotation for the first time as he comes over from overseas.

He could join the rotation, shifting from the bullpen to a starting role to replace Mize.

But it's yet to be seen who will be the official replacement for Mize in the Tigers rotation relief pitcher.

And Manuel de Hesus was recalled the minors in a corresponding move.

And in other Tigers injury news, Javier Baez was placed on the 10-day IL with an ankle sprain.
