Let's dive into everything baseball related from Sunday, April 12th. We'll start it off as always with the transactions,

injuries, news and notes from around the league, kicking things off with the bad news as outfielder,

George Springer was placed on the 10-day I-L with a left big toe fracture. The injuries just keep on coming for the Blue Jays.

Very unfortunate. Manager John Schne, said Springer could be back

in the minimum time, and I guess I could see that in a DH role, which Springer occupies,

but I'd expect him to miss around two to four weeks. Outfielder Aloi Jimenez was selected from

the minors in a corresponding move, and we'll take over as the Jays Everyday DH with other

players mixing in occasionally. Relief pitcher Hunter Harvey was placed on the 15-day IL with right

triceps inflammation. Harvey has a lengthy injury history and the fact that this is an arm

injury is always concerning, especially for a pitcher. I'd expect Harvey to

miss more than the minimum time, but with Phil Meiton also on the IL, the Cubs are going to be

itching for him to come back as both of their top set up men are injured. Jacob Webb should

probably find himself in Moreholds opportunities that figures to be the top option stepping up with both

Mayton and Harvey on the IL. Charlie Barnes had his contract selected from the minors in a

corresponding move. And lastly, outfielder Tyler O'Neill was placed on the seven-day concussion

IL, unfortunate, but those are usually pretty straightforward. O'Neill should return in a week.

Outfielder, Jonathan Rodriguez, was recalled for the miners in a corresponding move,

but it looks like Leoti Tavaris will see additional playing time as he gets every day playing

time in center field for the Orioles, while Colton Couser sees more consistent playing time
