You used to pray with words that felt empty, that felt flat, that felt, wrote, dead.

You used to pray without me, to me, but without me.

He used to pray out of guilt.

You used to pray out of desperation.

Sometimes you still take the posture of desperation, of separateness, of begging, sit up right now,

and make the shift into the awareness that I set that body up.

I feel the surroundings that body sits in.

Every corner, there's no darkness remaining no confusion remaining no need this is prayer

knowing a silent regal confidence that it is finished in just beginning.
