Well, she is 10 days overdue with our ninth child and it was prudent to let her relax today. So

I thought I would deliver on some really, really important tips as you're navigating change and

leading through change with your family. So obviously I think the wives will get a lot out of it too

but I hope the dads tune in because this is so important and we have gone through a lot of

changes. I'm sure you have. And one of the things that's important is we want to be proactive

decision makers. We want to make decisions ahead of their necessity as much as possible because

then you can communicate more, you can plan better, usually things are cheaper and you have better

outcomes. Then when you're forced into changes by circumstances or reacting to late. And I think

more than ever it's important that we're proactive decision makers. It's really, really crucial.

You know, one of my mentors long ago back in our Portland days, his name is Jim, still

dear brother in Christ, love him dearly. And he shared the story of the boat and the skiers.

And your, your dads are the boat, the captain of the boat and your family imagine them on water

skis behind you all the same time. And if you veer course just a little bit off course off the best

path, it swings them even further and if there's rocks out there it could be harmful to your family.
