We got into the book of Isaiah yesterday and so we've talked about that and we have to remember we're in

a book of prophecy now so although there's some narrative here we're not we're not just telling a story. These are the recorded, well they're called

oracles in many of the translations. So this is utterances of God to different people at different times for different reasons

and I don't mean that like all over the map this is obviously encompassed in the

lifetime of Isaiah the Prophet these are the

recorded prophecies so as we're going through this well at times here something

and then we'll hear things like the Oracle of Isaiah

to such and such and so and so. Just pay attention to that to know that, well, that we're not confused and saying,

And there's almost two halves to it in the first half of Isaiah and this is a this is one of the longest books in the Bible with the

first half of Isaiah is largely dealing with judgment and it's sobering

and so let's let it sober us because the pages keep turning, when we get to a halfway point of Isaiah and everything changes.
