Today is the 31st day of October.

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian.

It is wonderful to be here with you today as we gather again.

Ah, we're gathering again for the last day of another month, the 10th month of the year, and then here every day together for 10 months as of today.

So that's something, that's something to celebrate. Well done. We've made it this far.

We have a couple of months to go. They will likely go quickly.

This is kind of the point in time where things start to get more busy.

Another month and it will turn into like warp drive.

We're still out in front of all that.

It's important that we kind of lock in

and understand that this global campfire, this daily rhythm of allowing the scriptures to be in our lives

that might get challenged and we'll have to make some choices

about what our priorities are.

Finishing well is very important to beginning anew again.

An endurance is a theme that we're seeing in the scriptures and so let's do both of those things as

we prepare to move forward into the new month tomorrow.

But we are here now in this present moment.

And so let's take the next step forward today.

It leads us back into the Book of Lamentations.

And today we will actually conclude the book of lamentations with chapters 4 and 5.

Alas! Alas, gold has lost its luster. Pure gold loses value. Jules are scattered on every street corner. The precious sons of Zion were worth their weight in gold. Alas, but now they are treated like broken clay pots made by a potter.

Even the jackals nurse their young at their breast, but my people are cruel, like ostriches in the wilderness.
