Today is the 25th day of November. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today as we gather again and take the next step forward on the journey that is this week. That is the journey of this year,

and of course the journey of the Bible.

We have concluded in the Old Testament,

the book of Ezekiel.

So that brings us to brand new territory in the Old Testament.

And so let's talk about that.

We're going into the book of Daniel,

which is one of the most interesting books in the Old Testament.

And it's prized for a couple of reasons.

One, for the historical accounting of things that were going on.

But then there are also these very sweeping, cinematic, prophetic visions,

not unlike the book of Ezekiel, that are also found in the book of Daniel.

I mean, Daniel's visions have been consulted over thousands of years in eschatological studies.

The studies of the times of the end of things.

So from the perspective of the writing of Daniel, Daniel was a contemporary of Ezekiel,

and that's the book we finished yesterday,

there are many, many scholars.

There's plenty of debate about just about everything that has anything to do with the scriptures in one way or another.

This is plenty of debate about the dating of Daniel.
