Grateful to be here with you today around the Global Camp Fire.

Grateful to step out of just the cares and concerns and trials and traumas and pain and

everything else that goes on in human life into this place a safe

oasis

a fire burning

all of us

kind of cozy up together

because we're all bringing

our own stories

of all the same

kinds of things

in our own contexts,

just to have a place to step out of it for a moment

and know we're safe here.

And we've come here to let the Bible speak to us

and to mirror us, to challenge us in the ways that we're navigating

and allow us direction and clarity as we move forward and to comfort us in our grief and in our suffering and to comfort us with a way forward

if we will walk in it knowing full well it's a narrow path but knowing also full well that it leads to life and that we get the

dignity of choosing and just having a place to step away and get perspective.
