Today is the 28th day of May. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is wonderful

to be here with you as we do what we do in Greedabranu shiny sparkly week and remind ourselves.

It's out in front of us. We're going to write the story of our lives on this week. And

we're going to do that with our thoughts, words and deeds. We're going to do that by what we do and

what we leave undone and one of the ways that we get direction in our lives is to come here,

gather together and allow the scriptures to speak into our lives. And so let's do that.

It's a brand new week. We'll read from the new living translation this week. We're picking up

the story of King David. And we've moved through a pretty dark, the most dark portion of David's

reign when he takes another man's wife, her name is Bathsheba. And has Yeraya, her husband,

Yeraya the Hittite, has him killed in battle on purpose, basically uses the enemy to commit murder

and takes her and Nathan the prophet comes and tells them a story about a rich man who stole a

poor man's little lamb, little lamb was like a pet was like a daughter in the family. And the

rich man stole the poor man's lamb and served it up as a meal. Of course David was furious when he

heard the news until he found out he was that man. So now David's got to go through the process.

And Nathan told David that this is going to bring a lot of trouble in his family.

And that is what we will witness. The things aren't the same in David's family after this.

This is something that wouldn't have been able to be a complete cover up. Yeraya has killed

the next thing you know Bathsheba's David's wife. People are talking.

The family is talking. It's like respect has been lost. And so let's pick up the story.

Second Samuel chapter 13.

Now David's son Absalom had a beautiful sister named Tamar. An Amnon, her half brother,

fell desperately in love with her. Amnon became so obsessed with Tamar that he became ill.
