It is fantastic to be here with you today.

It is a joy. It is an honor.

And I am grateful to be around the global campfire with you today, taking the next step forward.

So, bringing another week to a close.

Grateful to have navigated this far.

Grateful to be right where we are.

As we understand the life and times of David, who wrote so many of the Psalms,

who's captured almost more comprehensively than anybody else in the Bible,

we are understanding the way that he became king of all Israel.

And so today, 2nd Samuel, chapters 4, 5, and 6.

When Ishbusheth, son of Saul, heard that Abner had died in Hebron, he lost courage, and all Israel became alarmed.

Now Saul's son had two men who were leaders of raiding bands.

One was named Behanah and the other Rikab.

They were sons of Ramon, the Beirotite, from the tribe of Benjamin.

Beirot is considered part of Benjamin because the people of Beirot fled to Gatheim and have

resided there as foreigners to this day. Jonathan, son of Saul, had a son who was lame in both

feet. He was five years old when the news about Saul and Jonathan came from Jesreal.

His nurse picked him up and fled, but as she hurried to leave, he fell and became disabled.

His name was Mephibisheth.

Now, Rikab, Biana, the sons of Ramon, the Biryte set out for the house of Ishbasheth, and they arrived there
