It's great, as always, to be here with you today.

Ah, I just need to, I just need to take a breath.

Let's all take a breath together.

We're in a safe place.

We're centering ourselves from the various chaotic things that come our way as we navigate life.

I am grateful for this place.

I am grateful for you.

I am grateful for us that we can all be together.

I am grateful profoundly for the scriptures, right? That's why we're

here. Grateful for what they bring up, what they challenge, what they do. And I don't always like

it, right? Sometimes we get pretty much something right between the eyes that's like,

okay, there's nowhere to hide.

This is true. I've got to deal with this.

Other times we find tremendous comfort and difficulty

and challenge and courage.

So I am really, really happy to be together today,

to take the next step forward.

And we've just launched into First Samuel in the Old Testament.

We talked about that yesterday.
