Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Brian, I'm sorry, I was just drinking coffee.

I should, I do that sometimes. I turn it on too quickly how are you how is everybody welcome to the

global camp fire it's going to be here with you today. Kind of exciting, we finish the book of Ruth,

so we're moving into some new territory that is going to lead to some new territory. So let's just kind of get our bearings here.

We were in the book of judges and that is the time the the centuries, after Joshua's leadership, leading up to the time that there

was a king in Israel.

And so Israel becomes a monarchy. They become the united tribes of Israel, under one king.

So we read through that in the times of the judges and then we landed in the story of Ruth which is in the times of the judges

But kind of gives us a personal glimpse into that time and beautiful beautiful story of character and loyalty.

Now we're going to move into first Samuel and Samuel is the very last judge of Israel, and Samuel actually will ordain Israel's first king.

And so as we go into First Samuel, we'll learn about, well about Samuel's story.

It's a remarkable story and how he is called by God.

He'll lead us to the First king, his name is Saul, and then in Saul will find

a lot of challenging parallels in our own lives. There's a lot for us to see in King Saul and then later we'll meet a man named David

And we just heard about him in the book of Ruth

And we found that Ruth

I had this mall by a woman not followed

her mother-in-law,

Naomi, back to the Hebrew lands.

King David would have never been born.
