0:23.9	We will conclude the book of judges and move forward from there in today's reading.
0:30.5	And, man, we have got ourselves into a crazy story as the book of judges ends.

0:40.3	And may we remember, Israel had no king, we keep being told.
0:46.3	Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, we keep being told.
0:50.3	Everybody did what was right in their own eyes, we keep being being told and we are told those things for a reason

1:05.0	when those conditions are in effect
1:08.9	in certainly in ancient Israel but certainly in our own
1:16.2	lives as well so how let's finish the book of judges with chapter 21.
1:37.6	The Israelites had taken an oath in Midspa saying,
1:41.8	Now, one of us will allow his daughter to marry a Benjaminite.
1:46.0	So the people came to Bethel and sat there before God until evening weeping loudly and uncontrollably.
1:51.0	They said, why, oh Lord, God of Israel?
1:54.9	Has this happened in Israel?
