It's great to be here with you. How are you? It's great to be here with you today. As we draw to a close

this week, now I guess we have to say we're moved into the month because we're about to start our first

full week tomorrow. But we're here squarely in today and so let's take that next step forward.

We're coming in for a landing on the book of judges.

We'll conclude the book of judges tomorrow and so there's like one more story for

us and it's one of the most disturbing stories that we'll find in the. And it concludes the book of judges in a certain way

for a certain reason. We've been being told the same thing since we started

judges. Everybody's doing what is right in their own eyes.

And so as we navigate through the centuries that that are the book of judges we get to see kind of this

what what that looks like and the decline in the erosion that is happening

among the people.

So that brings us to our last story in the book of judges,

and then we will move forward from there

and meet the last judge of Israel but that will be in some new books.

The last judge of Israel is named Samuel and we will get to him soon enough he will lead

us to the time where Israel has a king.

And they become a monarchy. That's out in front of us.

We have some territory to move through today. Judges, chapters 19 and 20.

In those days when there was no king in Israel a certain Levi was so journening in the remote parts of the hill country of Ephraam who took to himself a concubine from Bethlehem and Judah.
